There is much to like about OpenSong. You will like that the application is free and open source; you won’t have to part with your money unless you want to make a donation. You will like that the application is available for multiple platforms; you can use it on a PC, Mac, or Linux machine. And last but not least, you will like that OpenSong works as advertised – the application allows you to manage and present lyrics, chords, lead sheets, and so on.

As mentioned above, OpenSong is available for multiple platforms. Support is provided for 32 and 64-bit Windows editions, anything from Windows XP onward. Support is provided for Mac OS X as well, any edition from OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard onward. Support is provided for Linux as well.

A setup wizard will help you install OpenSong on a Windows-powered PC. The wizard will ask you to choose one of three installation options: Normal, Full, or Custom Installation. The wizard will also ask you if you want to install OpenSong as a portable application.
A Full Installation includes the following: OpenSong core files, OpenSong extra files (backgrounds, example set, songs), King James bible, multiple languages.

The two tabs at the top of the application’s interface allow you to switch between Song Mode and Set Mode.

From a functionality point of view, you can expect to get the following from OpenSong: present songs and lyrics on a single or dual-screen setup; transpose chords to another key; print out sheets; present Bible passages, verse by verse; pick a style for the presentation, edit existing styles; import and export data; and more. Seeing that OpenSong is free software, you have all the time in the world to uncover all its features and functions.

Cons:
None that I could think of.
